Last Sunday was the Off To Wed Fair held at the Paintworks in Bristol. This was my first ever fair to exhibit at! I would have expected the run up and the day itself to be a bit nerve racking but was pleasantly surprised how easy and enjoyable it was. This was no doubt thanks to organisers Lizzie and Paul Tschornow’s careful planning of the event.
The fair was a step away from the big impersonal and commercial fairs out there, instead it set out to be relaxed and informal, an event to enjoy, which it was. There was an eclectic mix of exhibitors and the atmosphere was a buzz all day. With welcome drinks for the visitors from the Cocktail Caravan and food from Minno Kitchen. To add to the party feel live music from The Beehives, Will Blake Band, also Matt Bee.
I met some lovely approachable fellow exhibitors who where obviously talented to boot. It was great to meet some like minded creative suppliers offering something unique. I also had some nice chats with couples and visitors, meeting couples at the early stages of their planning is one of my favorite parts of what I do.
Many thanks to neighbours and exhibitors I met at the fair for making the day that bit more enjoyable;
Betty Bhandari Photography. Beautiful work creative and rustic capturing personal touches. Pearl Bespoke, Dress Maker. Love the bodice dress with so much detailing. Eclectic Avenue, Vintage prop hire, handmade fabric flower bouquets & accessories. Lovely broach bouquets. Amber Persia, Floral Design. Great display and thanks for the lend of the matches.
Forget Me Not Events, Wedding Styling. Great to meet fellow stylist Leah, very friendly and talented lady. Peachie Vintage, Vintage crockery, tea party catering & styling/prop hire. Mother and daughter team Chris & Anna.
Tschornow Photography, Photographer Paul husband to Lizzie and organiser of the fair.
A lovely day was had by all! I hear there is another to be held in the summer/autumn so if you missed this one fear not.
